The P158 refrigerant
pressure sensor is compatible with
all fluorocarbon refrigerants and
refrigerant oils now in use and in
development for refrigeration and
HVAC/R applications. Kavlico utilizes
our field-proven ceramic capacitive
sensing technology designed for automotive
and other industrial application in
the design of the P158.
The P158s
package design can endure high vibration
and broad temperature range conditions
found in refrigeration systems. The
sensors can withstand high overpressures
and pressure pulsations without damage
or degradation in performance.
Operating on 5
Vdc, the P158 has an amplified, high-level
linear output and is temperature compensated
over a range of -34°C to +120°C.
Available in absolute,
sealed gage and gage pressure versions,
the P158 can be supplied in ranges
from 0-100 to 0-750 PSI. The sensor
has a machined brass housing and can
be configured with a 1/4 Male
Pipe Thread or 1/4 SAE Female
Thread with Schrader Deflator process
connection.
Specifically intended
for high volume, OEM applications,
the P158 delivers a cost-effective
solution without compromising on performance
or reliability. Kavlico offers the
P158 in specific OEM pressure ranges
in addition to the standard pressure
configurations noted on the Data Sheet.
In addition to
the P158 Refrigeration pressure Sensor,
Kavlico designs and manufactures custom
sensors for a wide variety of OEM,
application specific requirements
utilizing our ceramic capacitive,
silicon micro-machined integrated
capacitance and piezoresistive technologies.

The Model P255
pressure transducer with advanced
electronics provides enhanced performance.
This is an upgraded version of the
field-proven ceramic capacitive P155
pressure transducer.
Specifically designed
for pressure measurements of 0-15
through 0-1000 PSI, this robust device
has a ceramic diaphragm that can withstand
exposure to a wide array of compatible
liquid and gaseous process media.
The mixed-signal CMOS ASIC provides
for improved EMI/RFI and accuracy
specifications.
Excited by 5 Vdc,
the P255 provides a linear amplified
output of 0.5 to 4.5 Vdc that is proportional
to pressure. The sensor has low power
consumption, superior long-term stability,
and excellent repeatability and hysteresis.
Other features include over-voltage,
reverse polarity, and short circuit
protection.
The P255 exhibits
excellent shock and vibration tolerance,
making it an ideal fit for marine,
agriculture chemical equipment, HVAC/R,
hydraulic systems, gas tank pressure
monitoring, level measurements, coolant
pressures, aggressive fluid measurements,
and a myriad of other industrial applications.
The P255 pressure
transducer is available in many standard
off-the-shelf configurations. It can
also be custom designed to fit specific
OEM applications.
In addition to
the P255 Pressure Transducer, Kavlico
designs and manufactures custom sensors
for a wide variety of OEM, application
specific requirements utilizing our
ceramic capacitive, silicon micro-machined
integrated capacitance and piezoresistive
technologies.

This 4-20mA device
is compact in size making it ideal
for restricted space applications.
The PT255 utilizes Kavlicos
inherently accurate and reliable patented
ceramic capacitive sensing technology.
This fixed range
transmitter is available in gage and
absolute pressure configurations fro
15 to 1000 PSI and can withstand high
overpressures without degrading performance.
The PT255 has an
operating temperature range of -40°C
to +125°C, is RFI protected and
has a response time of less than 10
mSec while offering combined repeatability
and hysteresis errors that are typically
below +0.06% of full scale. Long-term
minimization of these errors is maintained
after millions of full scale overpressure
cycles making electronic setpoints
virtually drift free.
The stainless steel
housing is well suited for use in
a variety of hostile environments
and the electrical connector is weather
resistant.
In addition to
the PT255 fixed range pressure transmitter,
Kavlico designs and manufactures custom
sensors for a wide variety of OEM,
application specific requirements
utilizing our ceramic capacitive,
silicon micro-machined integrated
capacitance and piezoresistive technologies.
