Moorpark, CA—– Kavlico, an operation of Schneider Electric and a global business unit of Custom Sensors & Technologies (CST), is pleased to announce the P528 family of ceramic capacitive refrigeration pressure sensors. These devices are perfectly suited for high volume applications in refrigeration compressors, rooftop chillers, and refrigerant recovery systems.
The compact sensors feature a brass housing with a ¾ in. external hex and is based on Kavlico’s fourth generation 16mm ceramic technology. The product targets high volume applications requiring ±2% or better accuracy over the normal -40 to 85°C operating temperature range. The rugged sensors can withstand high over-pressure spikes and are available from 0-15 to 0-500 PSIA pressure ranges. These high performance sensors are powered by a regulated 5V power supply configuration that produces a standard 0.5 - 4.5V ratiometric output.
The sensors are temperature compensated, have excellent EMI/RFI and ESD protection, and have superior output signal stability. Pressure ports available include 1/8-27 NPT, ¼-18 NPT and ¼ SAE female threads with Shrader deflators. The P528s feature an integral Packard Metri-Pak 150 electrical connector and are compliant with European RoHS directives.
