Kavlico pressure sensors and transducers can be utilized for a variety of medical applications such as:

Respiration
Blood pressure
Patient Activity

Dialysis Systems
Infusion Pumps
Medical Drilling
Exercise

  Refrigeration devices
Airflow
Building Pressurization
Air Monitoring

These Rugged yet cost-effective devices feature gage, absolute, and differential pressure ranges of ±1" H20 through 1,000 psi. Operating from a 5 Vdc regulated power supply, the sensors provide an amplified .5 to 4.5 Vdc signal output.

The sensors can be specified with a choice of electrical and pressure connector options as well as a variety of housing materials such as brass, stainless, or plastic composite. Sensor shelf life is 10 years minimum, with an operating life of millions of pressure cycles.

Other Sensor Features:

  • Over-Voltage and Reverse Polarity Protection
  • EMI/RFI Protection
  • Excellent Linearity, Repeatability and Hysteresis Characteristics
  • Temperature Compensation of -40° through +125°C

Kavlico's compact (< 3 cm in length) P6000 provides a new, economical, and durable option for system designers seeking a highly accurate yet small footprint pressure sensor for dry media medical applications such as respirators, oxygen concentrators, and CPAP equipment. The sensors can also be utilized for dry or wet media applications in a variety of industrial applications as well where sensor size and mounting options are a concern. Additionally, Kavlico can custom design sensor packaging for those with unique configuration needs.

Providing a fully calibrated, temperature compensated 0.5V to 4.5V linear analog output proportional to pressure; the sensor provides increased flexibility when it comes to the pressure sensor’s physical location and mounting. The device is offered with (3) mounting configurations: Option 1: Flying leads allow it to be positioned remote from the PCB. Option 2: The sensor can be connected to the PCB through a miniature 4-pin connector. Option 3: With lead wires for through hole PCB mounting.

The P6000 is available in gage or absolute pressure ranges from 2.5 PSI to 100 PSI. Pricing is approximately $15 in volumes of 1000 units.
