Convention gasoline
injection systems operate at pressures
up to 75 psia, while Gasoline Direct
Injection (GDI) systems operate at
2,000 psi or higher. Common Rail Direct
Injection (CDI) systems for diesel
engines can operate between 20,000
and 40,000 psi, and Kavlico has sensors
designed to meet each of these measurement
criteria via the use of our broad
range of sensing technology options.
Measurement needs
for low pressure systems are best
addressed with either Kavlicos
PRT or ceramic capacitive sensing
technology based upon the need for
either gage or absolute measurement
parameters.
Kavlicos
PRT sensors have been designed to
measure the difference between intake
manifold pressure and fuel pressure
which is an effective approach in
monitoring of fuel rail systems. For
GDI and CDI systems, Kavlicos
thin-film technology is very effective
due to the higher pressure capabilities.
